Halesowen Town 7 USA Trident 0

Mark Danks hit a hat-trick as Halesowen proved too strong for on-tour football consultancy team USA Trident.

The visitors included 15-year old Kristopher Korich at full-back and made a respectable first-half performance to go in 0-0 at the interval after a 44th minute cross from Jordi Castro came off a home defender to rebound off the post into the arms of goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan. Nathaniel Waite’s shot almost went under the body of opposite goalkeeper Danny McMurray seconds before the interval.

Visiting substitute goalkeeper Jeff Stamp then endured a torrid second half as the Yeltz took complete control to thump home seven goals. Justin ROWE led the avalanche as he turned home Jermaine Palmer’s 53rd minute cross and PALMER then took advantage of a weak clearance to strike home the second goal in the 56th minute. Six minutes later DANKS smashed home from 25 yards and substitute Aaron CORNWALL made space to stroke home the fourth goal after 66 minutes. CORNWALL slammed home in the 76th minute to make it 5-0 before Danks fired home two further late goals in the 78th and 85th minutes to complete his hat-trick against the demoralised and well-beaten tourists.

Halesowen Town: Vaughan; Smith, Cowley, Abraham, Manchester, Denny, Nelson, Hamilton, Abbey, Waite, Danks. Subs: Rowe, Bryant, Palmer, Caskey, Cornwall, Deen.
